Description

Reasonable people use leftover jars for canning preserves, storing odds and ends, etc.

Me, I make specimens.

Both jars contain magical "grow toys" that get big when you put them in water. They are floating in a mixture of diluted coffee, disinfectant and coffee grounds for that "decayed" look.

On the left: PARASITIC ARTHROPOD EXTRACTED FROM SPINAL COLUMN OF 40-YEAR-OLD MALE, BRITISH NEW GUINEA, 1901, ORIGIN UNKNOWN.

On the right: ABNORMAL BRAIN, ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, 1812.

I stained the labels with coffee and slapped them on with rubber cement.

Halloween never ends.
